First Days at the MTC

Hello Everyone!

My time here at the MTC has been amazing so far! I'm not sure where to start. 

After my family dropped me off and we said our goodbyes, I was whisked away by a fellow missionary who had been tasked with helping me get started here. I first got an envelope of information and my room key, got my missionary tag, my MTC badge, and, to my surprise, I got an iPad. Apparently we all get electronic devices here at the MTC, even if our missions don't currently have them.

After that, I was led in getting the rest of my books and materials before being taken to my room here at the MTC: 13M - 219. After dropping off most of my stuff in the room, I was led to meet with my district.

My district is fantastic! My companion is Elder G_______ and he's great! He's from Canada and loves basketball. He has been called to serve in the Scotland/Ireland Mission as well! We're very different, but we've been able to get along great and do well together.

One other Elder in our district, Elder Gl________ is also serving in the Scotland/Ireland Mission. He and his companion, Elder A_________, who is serving in the Dallas, TX mission are great and full of energy.

The sisters in are district are great as well. Their names are Sister S_____, Sister M_______, Sister L__, and Sister ... I'm not sure how to spell her name. Sisters M____ and L____ are serving in the Oregon Mission, Sister S_______ is serving in the Provo, Utah mission (which she is very excited for), and Sister A_____  is serving in the San Jose, California Mission. 

Over the next couple of days we've all been able to feel the spirit strongly and grow together as a district. It has been a wonderful experience. I am learning so much! I wish I had more time to write. I may have a little more time tonight to write. I'm excited to share some of my great experiences with you and hopefully help all of you to grow closer to Christ in the process.
